The impossibility to share an experience | 28/01/12
After my mother died, december 2003,
i spent at least one night per week with my father.
Week after week,
he would tell me the same story,
over and over again.
I had been practicing my belief system,
and the latest belief i experimented with was:
"i want what i get".
No longer would an opinion about this repetition suffice,
no longer could i get away with my wish to be spared from this same story.
it happened in my reality.
so i needed ask my self: "why does this happen in my life?"
and, after some weeks, i began to understand.
i sat with my father,
and said to him:
"you know, i think i understand.
you want to share an experience!
but, you know what?
until i have had this experience that you speak of,
i will not know what you are talking about.
and when i have had this experience,
i will already know what you tell me."
my father, at that point,
said nothing, he just smiled,
and never again told me that specific story.---

We is a different league from I and Thou | 25/01/12
There is me who says "I"
And there is you who also says "I"
so there are I and I
but this is not the same as "We"
We is another dimension to I and I
If I and I are in a 2-dimensional relationship, We is the space that is created by a third dimension.
How to get from I and I to We?
It is simple: pay attention.
Paying attention, not to I (me) or to I (you), but to the intermediate space that is neither I nor I.
The latin word "inter-est" means: in-between (inter) is (est)

i'm flying into London from the Netherlands with my son Jay who is now 18 years of age.
arriving thursday november 17th in the afternoon (around 4pm)
leaving sunday november 20th around noon (11h55am)

Who wants your talents? | 05/06/11
In ancient times, a talent was both a unit of mass and a unit of value.
So let us pretend you have lots of talents, each of which you can pay with.
The question is: who wants your talents?
Another question is: is it more comfortable or not to have multiple talents?
Let us find out by considering a talent as a currency, like dollar, euro, or pound (alphabetical order).
So what happens when i am involved in an economy where the only currency is talent.
What can i buy? other people's talents.
What can i sell? my own talents.
Question#1: Who wants my talents?
Obviously it must be someone who is asking the same question as i am: who wants my talents?
Question#2: Is it more comfortable or not to have multiple talents?
I think this question shows that talents are qualitative rather than quantitative, and therefore not necessarily interchangeable.

Three ... Two ... One ... Ignition: Leaving The Great Attention Depression behind | 01/06/11
My belief is that attention is the currency of the 21st century networking economy.
Just like you have a wallet for your dollars, euros and other currency,
you have a wallet for your attention units.
Now the thing is, in my observation, that for many people their wallet is structurally empty.
Here is where i find resemblance with the challenges that the US government faced during the Great Depression of the early 1930s.
What i want you to do, as business owners,
is to take up your role as the Government,
consider me your attention advisor, Ronald Maynard Keynes,
who proposes a solution that may no longer work 50 years from now,
but just maybe may work in the situation at hand.
The US government, by proposal of Keynes, understood that the wallets of people were empty
and that economy is driven by people buying - therefore they need the cash to do so.
What the government did was first of all offer the people the opportunity to make some cash.

I posted four suggestions, of which Thomas chose option-d : the butler.
This "pamphlet" butler is dedicated to only you.
"Well, i have always wanted to have a butler by the name of Alfred."
Just use your imagination and order your ideal candidate in this blog.
Personally, I would like my butler to be emotionally mature. Not a mother nor a father, not even a friend. Just someone who pays attention to what my talents need.

Can you help me to set up my new phone's address book into 3 categories KLF? | 03/04/10
I heard Thomas speak about Know me, Like me, Follow me.
I am a supporter, not a creator.
So i have no illusion that i understand what he said.
Now i want to implement KLF into my Gmail address book.
I really need some good advice about these three categories.
-1- is my partner/gf in one of these categories?
-2- is my son in one of these categories?
-3- should i distinguish the categories into people who will lend me money and those who won't?
-4- i seem unable to find someone that fits into the category Know. when i know someone it is inevitable for me that i like them. perhaps because i always seek "us" in the meeting?
Any other suggestions?
I am really struggling to understand KLF.

Even een update voor al mijn Nederlandstalige fans.
Vorig jaar nog (seizoen 2008-2009) dacht ik :
ik ben mijn aandacht, ik ben waar mijn aandacht is.
Deze gedachte leidde tot een bedrijfsmissie voor "Maak je geen Zorgen", mijn eenmanszaak.
Concreet: als ik nog iets moet worden of doen, in de zin van iets anders dan wat er nu is, dan is het niet de juiste opdracht of vraag. Wat dan wel? Alleen mijzelf zijn. Als ik mijn best doe, dan lukt het dus niet.
Wat vloeide eruit voort?
- representant zijn bij opstellingen. Een representant staat voor iets of iemand, in een opstelling die geleid wordt door een facilitator. De representant meldt wat er aan gedachten, gevoelens, gewaarwordingen anders is dan "normaal". De interpretatie van deze verbale en non-verbale communicatie ligt geheel en al bij de afnemer, de vraagsteller / klant. "Je ziet wat achteraf gezien je al wist".

I would like to move forward with the introduction of "Attention as the Currency of the 21st Century Networking Economy".
Imagine a Bank, where attention is the currency.
Imagine you have a savings account with this bank.
Imagine you get a weekly or monthly report of all your transactions.
There is a previous balance.
There is the income of attention.
There is the spending of attention.
And there is a current balance.
Perhaps we can co-create the questions that come to mind for such a Bank to step into existence?
The questions are not meant to be answered.
Instead, the questions are meant to create awareness of the paradigm (= the borders) that is needed for the idea of such Bank to feel invited and become manifested ( = reality ).
Here are some of my questions.
- What account types would be suitable with such Bank ? (savings, creditcard, stock, etc)
- What can we say about ownership of attention?
- What is the unit of attention?
