I’m an (online) entrepreneur with a strong technical and analytical background (including econometrics), and extensive experience in building and scaling web companies in a lean and data-driven way. In 2007, I founded Centroid Media, a bootstrapped online publishing company. I grew it to over $5M+ ARR with a lean team of just 10 people. We were known for our in-house spidering technology, a broad vertical portfolio (e.g. wieowie.nl), and a strong engineering culture. The company was acquired by kgb (kgb.com) in 2010 for its proprietary crawling technology and performance marketing capabilities. Today, I’m the founder and majority shareholder of Inversive Media, home to several leading online platforms in the Dutch housing market. Our portfolio includes: • Kamer.nl – one of the most recognized brands for student housing • Huizenvinder.nl – a top-tier platform for general rental listings • Rent.nl – a fast-growing player in the mid-to-high-end segment These platforms have achieved market-leading positions in their respective segments in The Netherlands.
